Would you fire a weapon at yourself in the name of Science?

Any gun physics nerds here? Science says it’s harder to create movement in water than in air, because water molecules are closer together than air molecules.
But would you bet your life on this?
Physicist Andreas Wahl did just that, he is very brave (or stupid) to do such a test.
He put himself in front of a weapon submerged in water and fires it on himself. All of this in the name of science.

Now that wasn’t too bad, you gotta love the slow-motion preview, its exciting and amazing to watch.
This experiment was two fold:
One – water molecules are closer together than air molecules (true) – observe the bullet trajectory.
Second – this experiment debunks all of Hollywood underwater action sequences.
