The new MK57 from CMMG considered the lightest-recoiling pistol carbines are turning heads at the range!
CMMG has just announced more new line of AR pistols and short-barreled rifles chambered in FN 5.7x28mm and people are going ape s^&t over this.
In the past BANSHEE offered design sporting the shortest barrels in 9mm, .45 ACP, 300 BLK and .22 Long Rifle.
CMMG utilized their patent-pending “Radial Delayed Blowback” operating system, the brand new Mk57 Guard line is fed by 5.7x28mm pistol magazines. These models are available in the 5-inch-barreled, as well as 8-inch-barreled PSB configurations.
The Mk57 Guard Series is a ultra-compact and lightweight platform is extremely portable, making it an awesome package for close protection, home defense, plinking and competition shooting. A very agile AR platform.
The MK57 is generating lots of buzz amongst gun enthusiasts.
It features a relatively lightweight bullet design and some super-impressive velocities. This is paired with the patented Radial Delayed Blowback system.
“This combination makes the Mk57 one of the lightest-recoiling pistol-caliber carbines on the market,” CMMG CEO Chris Reinkemeyer said.
If you didn’t know what the Radial Delayed Blowback does is that it minimizes the recoil.
With each round fired, a portion of the rearward force of the shot is exhausted in unlocking a rotating bolt in the system prior to driving the carrier forward and cycling the action.
In layman terms, with less force going towards your shoulder, CMMG is able to use a lighter carrier and buffer than standard blowback designs.
Each version of the BANSHEE sports CMMG’s new ambidextrous charging handle, as well as an ambidextrous sling plate and ambidextrous safety selector.
