Wilska & Landen Firearms

I had never heard of Wilska & Landen Firearms and I guess you haven’t either?

That was until I passed their interesting booth at IWA in Germany, and took a closer look at their new rifle.

To begin, they’re from Finland. W&L Firearms manufactures both complete rifles and bolt actions. They claim their mission is to create innovative high-end products, with fresh new product features: or old school in modern style.

Their new C Series, has been developed in harsh arctic conditions to withstand heavy use in demanding environments. It consists of rifles, chassis and action products with new innovation to concepts that have been used for shooting several hundred years.

C SERIES Rifles:

The C Series modular rifle is a system that enables several different configurations with AR-15 compatible replaceable stock, fore-end and grip. Rifles have a full length STANAG 4694 action rail for precise mounting of optics. The fore-end provides more auxiliary equipment mounting possibilities with Mil-Std 1913 accessory rail and M-Lok slots. The three-lug, 60 degree bolt throw enables fast and reliable operation of the bolt. Low opening angle of the bolt handle makes it possible to use large optics without interference on bolt operation even when using gloves. The action and chassis together enable a low line of sight making it easier to shoot long distances in prone position. Field maintenance of the rifle is easy as the bolt removal and disassembly can be done within seconds from bolt closed position. No tools are needed for bolt disassembly or re-assembly.

The C Series modular rifles are available in four action sizes:

Medium (.308 Win)
Large (.300 Win Mag)
Large Magnum (.338 Lapua Magnum)
Extra Large (.50 BMG)

C SERIES action products:

“The C series actions are a completely new bolt action design. C SERIES actions are available in 4 different sizes: Medium (CM), Large (CL), Large Magnum (CL-LM) and Extra Large (CXL). All of our actions have a STANAG 4694 rail for optics mounting and are available with 0/20/30 MOA cant. The three-lug, 60 degree bolt throw enables fast and reliable operation of the bolt.
